Homeward Bound Pet Rescue
Homeward Bound Pet Rescue is an all volunteer, nonprofit dog rescue in the Columbia/Irmo area of South Carolina! Our mission is to make a difference in our community by rescuing stray, homeless and abandoned dogs and to ensure that each dog is adopted into a secure, loving home where they will be treated as valued family members.
Volunteers
Volunteers are welcome and needed. With no paid staff, we rely solely on good people like you to keep the rescue running successfully. We always need help at our Saturday adoption events at Petsmart, but there are also jobs to be done during the week. Foster homes
Foster homes are extremely important since Homeward Bound does not have a facility to house animals. All of the dogs that we rescue need a place to stay until they find their adoptive homes. If you are interested in fostering a dog for their temporary stay, Homeward Bound provides everything you need including food, toys, a crate, medication, etc. To become a foster parent for Homeward Bound, simply fill out the application and email it to HomewardBoundRescue@hotmail.com.
