Homeward Bound Pet Rescue
Homeward Bound Pet Rescue is an all volunteer, nonprofit dog rescue in the Columbia/Irmo area of South Carolina! Our mission is to make a difference in our community by rescuing stray, homeless and abandoned dogs and to ensure that each dog is adopted into a secure, loving home where they will be treated as valued family members.
Surrender
Homeward Bound is an all volunteer, foster based, dog rescue with no facility. We are unable to provide immediate assistance to anyone who has found a dog or in need of surrendering their dog. Please note that if you are asking for help in finding placement, you will be asked if you can foster.
If you have found a dog:
-
Take it to any veterinary clinic to be scanned for a microchip. If the dog has a microchip, please get in touch with the owners.
-
If the dog does not have a microchip, put up flyers and post on lost/found sites on social media.
-
If you cannot locate the owners and are unable to keep this pet yourself please email the following information to Homewardboundrescue@hotmail.com
-
A clear picture of the whole dog and one of the front of the face
-
Approximate age, size and whether this is a male/female
-
When and where you found this dog
-
To surrender your dog:
-
Email a clear picture of the whole dog and one of the front of the face to Homewardboundrescue@hotmail.com
-
Also include age, breed/mix and reason for surrender.
-
We will ask you to complete a more detailed surrender questionnaire if we feel this is a dog we can consider taking into our program.
